Nasi Kerabu

Kak Nadwah, a QS who is working in Dublin, was the one who introducing me to Nasi Kerabu. You know guys, I am not a vegetable-eater, so I never tried Nasi Kerabu before. One day, I went to Kak Nadwah's place, and she served me and my husband Nasi Kerabu with lots of vegetables and lauk-pauk too. I ate the lauk-pauk only hehe, and you know, it tasted sooooooooooooo good!!! From there, I realize how great Nasi Kerabu is, but I dont like to buy it from pasar malam, I prefer to make it by my own. Try it, it is nice ;) hehe. Thank you Kak Nadwah!

Ingredients for Nasi:
Nasi is cooked like usual, but add in some turmeric powder (1/4 tsp) to color the rice, a pinch of salt n pandan leaf if you have.
Ingredients for Lauk:
Ikan or ayam goreng (fry with salt n cornflour)
Telur Masin - compulsary for me hehe.
Daging panggang
Keropok ikan
Ingredients for Ulam:
Kacang panjang
Taugeh
Daun kesum
Serai
Timun
Bunga kantan

Hiris semua ingredients halus2.
Ingredients for Sambal Kelapa:
Kelapa parut
Ikan (rebus/bakar dgn garam n asam keping)
1-2 batang serai - potong nipis
1 bawang besar (small size) - hiris halus
Garam

Sangai kelapa parut
Sangai serai
Ikan diambil isinya
Campurkan semua bahan-bahan, dan tumbuk halus (I just use blender).
Ingredients for Kuah:
8-10 biji cili kering - rendam dlm air panas n blend halus
Santan pekat
2 batang serai - ketuk
1 inch halia - ketuk
3 bawang putih - hiris
1 bawang besar (small size) - hiris halus
Garam

Campurkan semua bahan dalam periuk, masak atas api sehingga pecah minyak.
